The action takes place in England in the 80s and tells the story of an elderly widower, Ukrainian, who falls madly in love with Valentina, Ukrainian divorced thirty years. This woman, voluptuous and sensual, seems designed to spend the most money in the shortest time and sweeps the family of the "young" married like a hurricane pink satin. What follows is a family revolution where two adult daughters in the above mentioned "young" married (Nadezhda and Vera) must be reconciled to face the shenanigans of "that adventurer." The father of this issue crepe female bun, it continues imperturbable to write the literary work that so close to his heart "History of Tractors in Ukrainian". This allows the reader to discover a unique way events and changes in the Soviet Union in the 80s.
This funny and tender novel, also poses without seeming to important issues such as well-intentioned intervention of children with elderly parents, immigration and prejudice resulting therefrom.
