With "No hearth or" Fred Vargas offers us a great new crime fiction novel. For it is literature that it is. Here we are far from pulp fiction to five cents! Never in one of his novels, Vargas characters will have been as engaging and as alive. There of course there's (anti?) Well known heroes of previous novels, evangelists and German, which are found marginal occupations, but also the main character of the novel, Clement Vauquer, which it operates with humor and tenderness imbecility. The plot, she, as always, is finely strained and fraught with absurd.
