Marc-Uwe Kling & Society (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Marc-Uwe Kling times not unplugged? So far, I knew the anarcho-comedian that can be put in a bad drawer, mainly by its unusual reading evenings with Musikeinsprenkseln - timidly klampfend, nasal singing, always good, often funny, but mostly quiet and en passant.

Now this CD and the certainty that Kling is good for the concert stage, but certainly not for the mass audience. The style of Kling and his band "The Company" is somewhere between Funpunk, punk rock, pop, rap and Liedermacherei, reminiscent of the crashing pigeons like Helge Schneider or the early songs of pants and varies in general across all musical genres. The majority of the songs have catchy tunes that you can hum along without errors already at first listen, the lyrics carry all the witty punch and are sometimes delicate times gross sociocritical swipes.

Conclusion: Not at all lalalalangweilig, rather nananana to loud sing along.
