The concert met all expectations, I was thrilled. At home, I bought the CD, and since then I hear them much. What I like? It is first of all the versatility. Almost every piece sounds different and each good in its own way. Somehow she has probably influenced their Danish-Faroese Spanish-French origins as diverse and deep. And also that she was in Australia, you can hear clearly in some pieces. It sounds then the primitive music of the Aborigines. Last but not least her voice is quite flexible and striking self (so they differ from other mainstream pop clearly!).
Then I like Aura Dione's musical creativity or creative musicality. It's not only versatile Pop, but he's still making music full of ideas! Here is an idea, there a, sometimes it sounds like folk, sometimes by world music, times really funky electronically - that certain something is never lacking. She herself says: "I write with humor and irony and with a desire to make a positive difference with my music, my voice and my life while I'm here." And that can be felt in every bar.
Last natural temperament! Granted, live on stage that was still far more pronounced. Strong appearance! The CD brings over not always perfect. And yet can be felt quite a lot of power that carries over not only the hit "I Will Love You Monday". What you do not see on the CD, is their glaring outfit, all ourselves. Great.
For some chance encounters I am in retrospect but rather grateful ... and looking forward to next album's (I was surprised that Columbine is their debut album, it sounds quite professional and matured).
