I now have the GPSMAP 62s since the end of May 2012 and it was after all the critical reviews but time to test yourself. The straight-recording is nearly identical on both devices, but I could have a significant "overshooting" in the GPSMAPS (VA) 90 ° bends compared initially observe eTrex H. The display is very easy to read without backlighting my opinion outdoors. Toll is the many personalization options in the menu - for example may not need me menu fields as geocaching, fishing calendar, Photo Viewer, ... be disengaged from the main menu. Thus, the menu is much smaller and the functions for the respective application are all accessed quickly. Also 1-4 additional fields can be displayed on the map screen (or, for example, the height profile).
