I fully subscribe to this new style of the author: the 2 main characters are projected in history between the Middle Ages and our present time, stopping at the Renaissance, stopping in the eighteenth century to back to the original manuscript of the Savoisy family he must at all costs save.

During this journey in the eighteenth century, Diderot crosses fleeing to Flanders and found Voltaire in Geneva, in its large property overlooking Lake Geneva.
