After I have always had almost only Nokia, and am nOnce like a Samsung U900 Soul with the touch screen field quite on the nose in terms of menu navigation and ease of use, I have now but ventured to the new touch screen and scroll technology.
Of course you can not compare it to a txt pro Iphone - that it costs only a quarter to a fifth of it (without contract). But the txt pro are more opportunities here than is assumed at first glance. You just have to deal with it and take the time to adjust the phone. I would like to highlight the following points:
POSITIVE:
- Inexpensive
- Small and handy for the pocket (unlike Iphone)
- Keyboard
- You can customize the startup screen and Internet Widgets sit on (is not in the manual but it goes)
- You can also applications are parked on the home screen in the 4 corners, so to speak, the favorites, redefine according to your wishes
- The USB cable to the PC fits into a compact 220V plug and thus becomes the charger - so it will save you a second cable
- The touch and scroll display works well (at least in my opinion, without Iphone-experience)
- There is an automatic key lock (not always, of course)
NEGATIVE:
- You can not define MP3 as SMS tone (as a ringtone, yes, but not as SMS tone)
- You can not just between different profiles switch back and forth (Normal, Outdoor, Silent, Meeting, as with Nokia). There is absolutely only Profle "Normal" and "Silent"
- Camera for photo and video is not a big hit .....
- Music can not be sorted by albums (does not bother me personally though, is chosen anyway by artist from)
- The keyboard is with me no but a QWERTY QWERTY, but that may indeed vary by country
- There is only one color scheme (I personally do not bother)
- With me no manual was there (as I said, I have not ordered from Amazon - there would probably be a while :-))
CONCLUSION:
I have a low-priced, compact mobile sought for mainly for calling and texting write. For this, the txt pro is ideal. All I can even with the txt pro into www, check my emails and what make everything I know. Many of the pre-installed applications like Facebook, Twitter etc I will probably never use ('m not 20 anymore :-)). And pictures and videos I'm doing with the phone anyway so good as not.
There are departures especially for the missing manual that I have then worried over the www, but was set as SMS tone for the lack of opportunity mp3 and switch between different profiles rapidly back and forth, so how shall I expect from NOKIA.
Who is looking for a compact low-priced mobile phone for basic applications (and some more) is the right place.
An iPhone is of course not - but it thankfully not the price - and not in size.
ADDENDUM 28-AUG-2001:
I prefer subsequently a ZIP code, so stay still 3 left because:
1) the battery after about 1 1/2 days is empty (at 2 SMS, 4 photos and 3 videos of 20 sec., Which was rem. Time the phone only in standby (have been told that his smart phone -typical (?)
2) it gives problems with the caller identification. I have 2 faslt same numbers in the directory, and the phone is not able to keep these numbers apart when I am called. According to SE Support should I draufspielen the latest software from the Internet. I've also made (although that was already dauf), result: no change.
because the device does not 100% then was compatible with the Bluetooth in the car (it can SE although probably nothing, it lacked the compatibility release of the automaker), ichs then again against a Nokia exchanged
