Xavier Rudd stands for handmade, slide guitar-oriented and very emotional music. These attributes met the Australians in their entirety with the new album. The most significant difference to the previous CD is the somber mood in some tracks such as "Dark Shades of Blue" or "Uncle". Overall, the sound is consistently even rockier and there is only one song without slide guitar. Friends of the cheerful music of "White Moth" could be hard to get access to the new plant, but who dares, and the disc will be heard 2-3 times discover pearls that guarantee goosebumps. My favorite in this sense: "Guku", "Shiver" and "Home". These three are from the more quiet part of the plate which I think is well done. The point deduction is available for "Edge of the Moon" (which has since then only ridden the good?!?!), To be long-winded "Uncle" as well as the inappropriate distorted voice in "This World As We Know It". But I am always happy when artists sometimes try something new (which of course may not always be 100% flaps): in this case, some worked well and another is certainly better on the next album ...
