As already noted in some previous reviews, the device attenuates the sound level dramatically. I have the adapter for a trip with airberlin and Etihad ordered to use in my own ear headphones with standard 3.5 mm jack can. First: The adapter can thus be used for normal 3.5 mm jack. Airberlin I however did not need him, because that had anyway already converted to 3.5mm. Since you do not need this double plug. At Etihad but you need it when you want to use their own headphones and not made available to there (for free). Here, however, shows the attenuation of both the volume and the sound. You had to turn up to about 80-90%, in order to understand well. Without adapter (then mono) was enough 30-40% from perfect. The sound itself is very mutilated and it is rather hollow.
That the one connector can be folded away, has probably more to do with the transport, why would you hang a 3.5mm stereo adapter before a 3.5mm stereo plug? So it's not quite so loud? For me, the adapter is not available and more defective than ready.
Probably makes these adapters only makes sense in conjunction with the Bose headphones. With normal headphones but he makes no real sense, there would rather resort to another adapter.
