Be Quiet Pure Rock 11xx / 1366/2011 / FMX / AM2 / AM3 / FMx- Cooler (Accessory)

Customer Review

Be Quiet! Pure Rock, released in October 2014 this cooler will probably be a bestseller for input range configurations "players." Being multi-sockets: 11xx / 1366/2011 / FMX / AM2 / AM3 / FMX. But also small with 15.5 cm high (fan included) he shall come into many boxes. With a price (31 ~ 36 euros), and such a performance is investing you need to do for your CPU! For a processor that is too hot performance and less.
For its first CPU cooler to Be quiet entry! surprised me. Despite all its qualities, there is for me to see four black three points:
- Lack of rubber between the fan and the CPU cooler, to fight against vibrations and noise and forcerie problem for me, but the fan Pure Wings 2 still remains silent (26.8 dB at 1500 RPM PWM)
- The fan heatsink mounting system makes a little "tinkering" but very common in coolers.
- The first RAM slot is unusable unless you use the RAM on 11xx Low profile socket (I do not know for other sockets).
- The thermal paste (white) can be pre-applied to some black dots but remains good.
All these black spots are justified by its price, but performance remains present.
With this test platform: Socket 1155 with an i5 2500k non OC in a Cooler Master Silencio 550 case temperatures remain correct. At rest: 31 ° ~ 34 ° with a fan at 630 ~ 650 RPM PWM. Games: 50 ° ~ 59 ° with a fan 950 ~ 990 RPM PWM. Room temperature: 14 °.
With this value for money intoxicating the Be Quiet! Pure Rock competes with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo!
