To mention only the most prominent influences: The Beatles (Harrison and Lennon, McCartney not), The Moody Blues, the early Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett and the Bee Gees in the first three albums BEE GEES 1st, Horizontal and IDEA from the years 1967 / 68th
The song "Father", however, is the optimistic-loving twin of John Lennon's bitter indictment "Mother" of 1970. Yoko Ono should it get no wind as possible! ;-)
Baldwin sings, and he plays electric and acoustic guitar, bass, mellotron, harpsichord, piano, organ, vibraphone, Lyra, Sitar, Tanpura (?), Harmonium, Wurlitzer, Drums, Tingsha (?), Tabla and percussion.
The very lovingly designed vinyl album (gatefold sleeve, white vinyl with orange sun motif) is a download code for the digital version, which contains another song ("Hole in the Sky"), while "Which Dreamed It" is missing. And the download version has interestingly, an almost entirely different song order, what the character of the plate actually changed quite a bit. Amazing!
Anyway: In both 'versions' is ALL IN A DREAM is a heartwarming experience. Of course, the 60's were no more innocent as the present time. But in retrospect they sound like that. :-)
