The beginning was hard: It took 2 months for the trackball was finally with me. In addition, I had to drive to the Customs in Hamburg and there wait for 2 hours to make a Selbstverzollung. The "error" was that only a CN22 Customs Declaration called "trackball (PC Mouse)" was on the package. In addition, "Gift" (gift) was ticked. When Hamburg customs they believe (rightly) not to "Gifts" from Asia ;-)
I made the seller pointed out that you can attach for shipment to Germany always a copy of the bill outside of the package and "Others" should tick instead of "poison". He vowed improvement, but I can only recommend to every buyer, the two things to note when buying in order possibly to spare the Zollgenerve.
Not only that, the commissioning of the required force for moving the mouse to the left was much larger than a mouse movement to the right. Having taken out the ball and had cleaned the interior was all ok. No idea what was going on.
For almost a month, I now work every day with the trackball and am very satisfied. Many input devices now have the problem that they do not come with high resolutions rightly. Ie, to go from a corner of the screen to the other, it is necessary even with the Windows mouse settings of max. Settling velocity and acceleration, input device, and moving again. But this trackball copes high resolutions without problems. I work with video editing programs in the resolutions 2560x1600 and 3840x1080 (2x 1920x1080 monitors). The ball can be moved very easily, so that one feels no inconvenience in the evening in the thumb, as I felt about the Microsoft trackball.
Incidentally, I can not confirm the problems of a previous tester with drivers. The trackball is recognized under W7 as a mouse and all relevant settings, such as speed, acceleration and wheel configuration could easily be made in the Windows Control Panel and functioned. Since the trackball has otherwise no special functions or special keys, the Windows Control Panel is enough. On the contrary, I was even glad to have not install any software.
So, after some initial problems, I am now very happy. Only the surface in high-gloss plastic ("piano finish") is somewhat unfortunate, since the trackball "angegrabbelt" according to the shortest time looks. This has LOGITECH then done better. Why then unfortunately but a point deduction.
