Price / performance is at this saw really good for Kapp / crosscut saw this class. Everything is easily accessible and all the settings are possible without using tools. The saw table has extendable extensions, there are workpiece holders (which, however, in extreme angle settings are in the way), depth stop, locks the pulling mechanism and the joints.
The engine has neat power, I had no trouble with wood to the maximum depth of cut. The start is a bit rough, because you realize that the saw does not start juice, but as long as it is safe, that's no problem.
Unfortunately, the saw blade and the laser was not aligned 100% that I had to manually correct. The were only nuances and is not noticeable at first glance, but if you must bring two times just cut surfaces together, making even small deviations of a few tenths of a degree from a lot. But at the price which is to get over that one has to readjust something.
What I most dislike is the dirt, the causes that thing. I'm probably spoiled in that respect something because I also have a Festool Tauchsäge call my own, which caused virtually no dirt with exhaustion, but by Metabowerke fly the mighty shreds ... äaäh ... sawdust. The enclosed collection bag brings practically nothing, but also with an attached suction skin that part a lot of sawdust under the suction opening at the back, you should operate the saw only in a closed garage or outdoors.
All in all a good saw at a good price, one star deduction there only because of the not quite straight setting upon delivery and the annoying filth because of the defective chips transported away.
In short form:
Positives:
+ Fine saw blade, there is little reworking necessary
+ Extendable supports with additional retractable stop plates on the sides
+ Stable and smooth running guide
+ Depth stop with "bridging" for quick change between stop and full depth
+ Management and joint lockable
+ Operating handle horizontally, which I find more enjoyable and finer control than a vertical grip
Neutral:
= The angle scaling is sitting glued to a few tenths of degrees wrong, mechanical detents at -45 / 0/45 °, however, seem to fit
= Setting of the laser diode had to be easily corrected (but is fine)
= The lighting could be a bit brighter, but I never needed anyway
= Laser with a single beam, you need to know on which side of the beam the sheet touches down, or adjust accordingly
Negative
- The engine builds a little broad, make work of the right side is a little difficult, depending on height. The workpiece holder is right is very limited usable
- The exhaust is completely useless, chips are executed blow everywhere but towards suction. The included grass-catcher is therefore pointless, but also with proper suction max. 10% of the chips collected.
- The flying chips are expressed in all kinds of cracks and holes, especially the two pockets in the holder of the train leadership are completely full after a few minutes of work. It always takes 5-10 minutes to regain the device afterwards reasonably clean.
