The video resolution is correct: it is VGA (640x480), so the definition is rather medium / low, but it allows people to recognize the images.
Its uptake is also correct, well worth a dictaphone.
The "spy" functions are controlled via a remote control: there is the awakening of the corresponding buttons to settings for time and alarm: good point for the discretion.
The capture of images or sound can be continuous, or be activated by the integrated motion detector: more not to have hours of files to listen / view.
The recording time depends on the capacity of micoSD card (not included) that you place inside.
This little gadget works so well or very good for the price, but it is not without drawbacks:
- The blue display is very bright, and it is impossible to display the time continuously (it displays hour -> Date -> temperature), which draws attention;
- The CCD sensor is clearly visible in certain lighting conditions (oblique light on the clock);
- The battery (supplied) is ridiculous: 4 days in one clock use! a sector is supplied adapter, but if the alarm must be connected to a power outlet, it reduces flexibility of use;
- Capturing low-light images is poor.
.. These defects justify a rating of 3 *, but the reasonable price under 50 euros allows to forgive a little alarm clock that it is intended primarily to recreational use.
in this regard, it is important to recall that the French law severely punishes the capture of images or sounds without the consent of the people. Do not engage in contentious proceedings against (for example) "a nanny who serves drinks in your bar" without first consulting a lawyer: it could work against you rather severely.
