Gloria Estefan has demonstrated with "Alma Caribena" once again that she is musically as well as vocally very variable. "Artists" like Ricky Martin or Enrique Iglesias proposes this to Längen.Das album is somewhat removed from the Latino mainstream, what I really liked. Songs like "Dame Otra oportunidad" or "Tres Gotas de Agua Bendita" be in time to real catchy tunes. "Como me duele perderte" is one of the best vocal performances of Gloria at all! "Alma Caribena" though does not quite reach her first Spanish album "Mi Tierra", but is still musical class and highly recommended !!!
