the solder offered here contains tin, lead and some copper. The Lot contains inside flux and works perfectly. It melts at low temerature, runs well and is also suitable for its "thin" for precise SMD soldering and also all at an attractive price. The 100g role extends for some time, even with frequent soldering.
So really 5 star?
Nevertheless, I have decided not to award 5 stars because this solder Lead is used. If you do not watch closely, you can overlook this (Pb = Lead).
On the subject of lead in solder, there are two aspects, the gesundheitsaskpekt and suitability during soldering for example in kits):
Gesundheitsakspekt:
Since July 2006 the use of lead-containing solders is forbidden (except for exemptions) in the industrial sector. Whether one then in the private sector wants to continue to use lead containing solder you have to decide for yourself. The lead can be transferred via the evaporation and touching. If it must be leaded solder because then you should ventilate the area and always wash your hands well after processing. (See, eg, article under the name "Solder is nonsense?" On the Web).
Benefits in kits:
As in the industrial sector is no longer used in the case of Lot, "ordinary" kits with lead-free solder are pre soldered. For this purpose there is eg ELV an article that refers to the incompatibility of unleaded and leaded solder.
(On the Web Search for "Lead solder EULA").
I bought this role and it works just fine. The issue of lead I have overlooked - I thought today would all lead-free solder and did not pay attention. The next part I deal with will have no lead. However, this is incredible ergiebit here.
Conclusion: In my opinion, rather something worse verarbeitended expensive and for lead-free solder buy. But I hope to have given this review a few details in order to form their own opinions.
09/04/2014 Addendum:
Through my own review I have myself not convinced leaded solder to order. I have (not from Amazon) bought a 100g roll with 4% silver for about 15EUR. According to my research is the solder with silver the most expensive but also the best substitute for lead-containing solder. It takes slightly higher soldering temperatures - my soldering station is now set to 340 ° (instead of the previous 320 °) - can then but almost as good processability. Only the Triggers Ellen act after cooling mat and look like "cold" solder joints - but it geöhnt you look. I'll make do with 100g for many years, I felt it worth it.
