On the first, I found the DAC Fiio good order. Long gone, the materials seem high quality and it is compact, perhaps a bit heavy compared to its size and nomable function. Its operation is very simple, from just load it, and then the connect and work. On my smartphone (Nokia Lumia 925) is fabulous. The sound becomes massive: Clear, detached, precise, all instruments are present, space is filled without being messy, a real plus. By cons, on my tablet Fiio the infection does not improve. The sound is perhaps a little more detached, but lacks clarity, brilliance. Maybe with another helmet would be different (I use an AKG K240), but this is why I put only 3 stars. After reading the rave reviews I was considering the Fiio as a more essential. Finally if it may not be the panacea it's still a quality instrument that has become the indispensable companion of my smartphone. Recommended.
