However, the image section shown under non agrees with that what a 28mm lens (in my case, the Ricoh GR) actually looks. The image under the GV2 is more like a focal length of 35mm. This means that made by the camera shows more than one sees in the viewfinder. The difference is not earth-shattering, but what you see in the viewfinder can be definitely used only as an approximation.
When using the GV2 one has a different view on things and a better sense of the actual photo. That's the biggest advantage of each optical viewfinder. The second and not to be underestimated advantage is the ability to still be able to see even in very bright lighting conditions, which has long become invisible on the reflective display of the camera.
Overall, the GV2 is certainly too expensive. 50 Euro are an acceptable price. Amazon calls 160. For serious photographers, this price is justified, for sure not the casual photographer.
