Most TV equipment that can cope with this resolution should be TV in Europe modern LCD or plasma.
I have only four stars awarded, because it seems to me with about 30 EUR a bit overpriced the cable.
Another reason are the current issues with some Virtual Console titles. My TV, an HDTV-ready device, simply does not expect that coming in a low-resolution 240p signal to the Y-Pb-Pr inputs of the component cable and displays only green flickering.
Some Virtual Console titles use content (like the originals at the time) only the above 240p mode for customizing the display, so that I am compelled here to go through the much poorer the image quality standard Scart / RCA cable. Ie plugging between this and the component video cable to the console is announced, if I change titles between VC titles and Wii.
A Kompromislösung would be that I buy a third cable, namely the Scart / RGB cable.
Since I have not reposition. However, I am also thinking only 480i 480p instead.
I'm not going to buy also.
Rather, I hope that Nintendo is the Virtual Console emulator adapt so that it extends out all signals in 480p.
Since there is no scart connection in Japan, so you have to go there via the component video cable to get a better display quality, I just hope that there complain more than people here and is still moving in this matter somewhat.
