This present recording of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is certainly all in all well done. The first sentence I would like to see another idea expressive. The second movement is spirited. The third movement is perhaps an idea to get smooth and brings the depressive moment that rate is not enough to express. It sounds a bit too much as it was just simply the slow movement of this symphony, which one is the idea of justice Ninth limited. The Presto of the 4th movement is beautiful - a relatively wild dissonance which I also consider as necessary and then an expressive introduction to the "Ode to Joy" theme. The final chorus is also solid, and I recording with Schreier and Tomowa-Sintow, which can be heard on the '77 cycle Karajan personally find just successful. In particular, Peter Schreier bells voice just fits awarded the ninth, and he articulates very nice. No reproach to Vinson Cole - as a non-native, he is at a disadvantage here easy, but you can tell that just as well.
Overall a good ninth, but I personally prefer the aforementioned version of the '77 cycle. This earlier version simply has more fire and slightly better soloists.
