The properties:
Your desired end, they met well. The tightness is excellent even after a handwritten battery change - despite brisk swimming style, steam room (sauna I have not tried), jumps up to 5m (irrespective of the clock - because other things were more important to protect;)) and year round outdoor use ,
It is quite easy to read, even underwater with fogged goggles, in everyday life anyway.
Very handy are the two timers - a with a time and a two times, both respectively singly or repetitively - because the training period (training / Pause) will be saved, if you even need a timer when cooking. The three alarm times - eg for weekdays and weekends (can also be set as well) are very useful. Whether reasonable or not, is another question, but you have always with you and on your wrist. That's better than a smartphone.
The operation with the rounds is not optimal when swimming, running like the feel better. You get used to, although at much, but that can certainly be improved. In the "hustle and bustle" of the turn while swimming yet to find the right button, requires some practice, can be installed not good in the movement and also holds later on. In addition, the button is rather stiff. Maybe the touch Tap watches from Timex are there better, but I do not - that should also have other problems. Be careful when you close the control buttons (especially the reset button - bottom right) has hanging the buckle of the locker key. Then holding it, for example when supporting on the edge at the break, lightly pressed the reset button, the three seconds, and all laps / times are gone!
Correct weak I find the "Indiglo" illumination! Touted as a huge miracle from "inventor of the watch lights" sobered the result very quickly - in 90% of situations, time is no longer read - namely, when it is not pitch black, but rather dim / dim. The reason is that not the bright background of the clock is illuminated, as that would also be useful and is practiced successfully by other manufacturers for years, but the otherwise black numerals! That may be technically safe sensational, but is functionally complete nonsense, because as I said in low light, if you can read the display difficult without lighting, with lights illuminating the contrast between numbers and light background is less than the black numbers. At dusk lighting in our swimming pool which is for example the case. In return, the lighting can be adjusted so that it starts when a button (not only the light button). That's the night quite well, but needs probably a lot of electricity, which brings us to:
Power consumption, also not optimal. The first battery only lasted about a year. The expensive, mentioned elsewhere Exchange Service I certainly have saved me and settled himself. You must regrease the seal with a suitable agent, then the clock will remain tight. Whether they (the seal) also survives a second battery exchange without exchange, but I do not know yet.
And still a downer also after one year broke the small belay loop on the strap on into thin air. There is no substitute for it, only a new bracelet, says the Service. But but this umschleißt the housing completely and is thus also appears to shed, so that an exchange probably, if not impossible, then it is at least expensive. As a replacement for the loop I use O-rings, as they are often used as a seal at fittings.
All in all, a good clock with potential for improvement. Because the alternatives are few and far between, even for some well buy recommendation.
