On offer is Rock'n'Roll (z. B. Marvin Rainwater), Doo Wop (The Tokens, The Harptones, The Kac-Ties, ...), Teen sound (Linda Glover, Jerry Landis AKA PAUL SIMON, R ' n'B (z. B. Herb Kenny or Dean Barlow) or Intstrumentals (z. B. Johnny & The Hurricanes).
Even for a "hardcore fan" like me can be found in terms of "oldies" of the 50s & 60s quite a few previously unknown artists and hard to find music tracks (z. B. "Blind Date" of the Eternals or "You" of Jeanie & Her Boyfriends) on the 3 pieces of silver.
Sound Technically, everything absolutely alright. The only negative is the exception here, "Tonight I Fell In Love" from the token. Sounds somehow "tinny" on or is possibly. Not even the original recording.
Otherwise unfortunately lacks a booklet with information u. Photos of the respective artists u. Titles. Can be found only on one side of the fold-CD package a few lines, which, however, are kept very small and thus difficult to read.
For the cheap price (especially on the Amazon marketplace) but you should not complain. This CD set (and similar publications from the copyright holder to other music labels from the former era!) I like it very well and receive well-deserved 4 stars from me.
