Unfortunately, I was not clear due to the production text that the device is only compatible with newer systems. Actually I wanted to back up the data of my 2 old laptops and then dispose of at least one, since it only acts as a data carrier. The carton can be seen that the device does not want anything more to do with xp ;-)

A friend tried ca 70min anything, even he as an expert in the IT industry could not do anything. However, he was probably pretty confident of the unit, he bought the smaller version. On
his computer (Linux) the unit ran perfectly. The system was immediately recognized and off we went.

I find it a pity that you can not save data of old systems, and I'm sure not the only one.

Meanwhile, I have ordered a new laptop, because a change in the system is no longer profitable for my old Lenevo. The new one is compatible with the device. I will update my review then.
