It is not suitable for outdoor use. The laser is not pulsed, as other "more professional" devices. Therefore it can not be used with laser receivers. Soon I will perhaps have to use it in the garden once. At dusk you can see even the beam on a longer distance. That's enough then at least to identify with any post and batter boards a "reference level" and "classic" continue working.
Point deduction there because you can not operate with batteries the laser, although the drinsteht in the operating instructions so. That's why I checked with Bosch. The problem is well known there. Batteries usually build slightly larger in diameter than batteries. The housing is closely sized to no 4 batteries fit side by side in the loading slot. I have tried several battery packs from different manufacturers, but not a fit. Not even Eneloops, fail in my opinion, the "thinnest". How to keep long batteries, do not know yet. At least you should always have ready are a set for reloading when working with the laser.
