Positives:
* The small aluminum case looks good and feels 'wertig' to
* Straightforward system startup, and more that you need
* Good sound
Negatives:
* Relatively low audio output level, noticeably quieter than other devices (CD, etc.)
* Audio output just as mini-jack, no Chinch
* External power supply, thus unnecessarily high energy consumption when the machine is not used
* The biggest problem: "Unsupported formats are Dolby Digital 5.1 +, or similar"
I have taken some time to wean the Dolby audio signal my new Philips PFL7606. Under the "Satellite setting" has the audio format from "Advanced" be changed to "Standard". When Philips Blu-ray player BDP7600 that was not so simple: there is no way, in principle, of 5.1 / 7.1 switch to stereo. That is, if the audio menu of the DVD / Blu-ray disc does not allow such a change (... which is more often the case) can not be used the DA converter! This is in my view a real disadvantage!
