The device comes in a beautiful package from sturdy cardboard box, in a spool as the items are carefully packaged individually and the receiver is well padded.
The content includes the USB receiver (slightly larger than a mobile phone SIM card is [the part that protrudes from the PC; the USB connector, which can not be seen so it is connected, I do not count this]), a mini - the antenna is connected directly to the receiver, a magnetic rod antenna with additional suction cup, a USB extension cable, remote control with batteries and an antenna jack adapter.
Appearance and function: The receiver is held in matt black and fits to most PCs and notebooks. In Windows 7, it is sufficient to insert the receiver and Windows 7 automatically loads the appropriate drivers down (about 200 KB). After one minute, the device is ready for use and works perfectly with Windows Media Center.
However, if you want to use the remote control or the supplied program, you have to install the software.
All parts are processed very clean and and work of high quality.
Now to receive: I live in Austria, in Mürztal, in the third largest city of Styria. Both Internet reception (UMTS) and television reception are quite good with us.
With the mini antenna all available stations are found easily and easily reproduced normally, every now and then there is (for the reception) to short stuttering or dropouts.
With the rod antenna, these problems are all but gone, and I have great reception. Important: The magnetic rod antenna not bring near the computer hard drive! These can be damaged!
In normal state - all PCs should run smoothly, as on laptops.
But: On netbooks I think probably there are problems - especially on netbooks with Intel Atom CPU. The reason is simply demanded power from the PC that TV on your PC.
On my Net / Notebook with 1.3 GHz CPU (Celeron, Atom NOT - Celeron are much more powerful than atom with the same number GHz) and 2 GB of RAM is sufficient, the performance problems to besides also to surf yet. In Atom netbooks you will be as likely to have problems.
Of course, the TV draws on the battery of the notebook, because CPU / fan / graphics card are claimed.
All in all, a great product, looks good and is not covered very simply on there, reception is good (in my region!), Delivery is fine, working 1 minute after plugging, the product is also well made.
5 star - but with the tip: Before you buy it at the weak netbook, rather inform you if any problems so television can. As I said, Watch TV on PC simply needs more power than browser, Office programs and Co.
