The interface and functions of the GO 5000 have been redesigned completely compared to the GO Live 750 Not without difficulty.
We now have an interface that is very similar to that found on smartphone, but early versions were limited / clamped in terms of features: no opportunities to transfer its POI from other TomTom models or from a database available on the internet. Not possible to apply to calculate an alternative route. No information when connecting to the traffic server is unavailable.
Fortunately the last two issues (the most important) have been fixed by the software update of 27 June, 2014.
There are still a few things missing but overall it's not bad. The fact of not having to pay a subscription to Live services or the map update is really a plus.
