I bought this unit a short time ago as a replacement for my old VCR. For me as an individual, it provides everything that is important to me personally: You can take all kinds of programs easily and in super quality, play and burn. I have a cable connection and I've had enough for the moment still completely out of recording on analog to me important programs on the major networks, in order to look at demand. And that everything works perfectly fine. The huge problem with the device is the me some completely incomprehensible manual. And I'm really not stupid, I have high school and studied and know myself quite well with electrical devices from my computer and I can also operate completely normal. But many features of this device opens up myself after a thorough study of the instructions NOT. Some functions, however, do not develop a self-evident. Many flat. And then I will not help personally studying the manual. While the guide provides a lot of information, they are partly written but tiny, not understandable for the layman or confusion. I am not able to arrange the analogue channels in order acceptable to me, for example. This is nowhere explained clearly and I get the station order itself also not changed. Since there is only just over 30 stations for me at the moment, I accept that no matter how straight. But what to do if you have more than 100 digital channels and this would save in a personal order, so that no one looks for when programming fingers bleed ??? Because of the very bad manual I must therefore deduct the device a point, actually still a longer, but I will refrain from doing. For absolute lay the device is therefore not recommended, the layman will fail miserably at the instructions. That's better, dear people of Panasonic! For the money, the manual should be much more understandable!
