For practical test: The shoe is very slippery on deck, both on plastics as well as teak, whether dry or wet. He is guaranteed abrasion and not leave any traces on deck (below deck also :-).
On the bright face fabric also salt water will not stain or you do not see it. The missing footbed does not bother me because I'm wearing the shoe exclusively on board and no long distances over it.
He needs to dry because of the natural fiber slightly longer than shoes made of mixed fibers, but that is in warm, sunny areas no problem, and here I would always decide in favor of the breathability of natural fiber.
Conclusion: For sailing in warmer districts a fine shoe I would buy again at any time.
