Although the increase in quality of the sound is not gigantic, but what is likely to be due to the smartphone internal processing.
On notebook the sound is much better. Presumably with an additional microphone preamp still some extract.
The adapter is made solid, the cable is sheathed thick and connectors are tight in sockets.
Excellent for the price.
Only the packaging might be easier to open (blister).
