A few days ago I switched from Quicken2002 on Quicken2006. In advance I had checked with the (rather expensive) hotline that the data can be taken from Quicken2002. The installation went smoothly substantially. Only one problem occurred. Since my drive C: is almost full, Quicken should at D: to install. There was indeed already Quicken2002. This worked well at first. Only I had to realize that the online banking module is installed automatically and without demand or Check Disk Space, namely optionslos to C: -> unprofessional programming. After cleaning up on C: could the online banking module be installed. Start and data transfer went smoothly. Whoever only means by clarity of the user interface, the new version looks exactly like the previously usual, is very disappointed. The surface is completely transformed. The study of new menus and selecting windows cost a few minutes, then I but noticed that all the functions are still available and are also easy to find. The function names have been substantially preserved. You have to get used to halt. Next, I wanted to bring the bank statement. Did not go because the program was no internet access. With me you go via LAN / DSL under Win2000. Quicken2002 had no problems with it. Then I got the idea to start the Internet Explorer. Behold, now no lack of Internet access was bemeckert. (A alternatively prepared starting Mozilla Firefox was not accepted by Quicken2006: -> no contribution to data security !!). A point at which I would like to moor unprofessional programming. For the smart card reader now has been criticized as not available. A look at the relevant Lexware support site brought the solution: half in the Windows Control Panel to recognize and test the card reader. Otherwise the functionality of reports has become better, more flexibly. Also, the data export can be very interesting. The one point deduction, there are actually unnecessary for the malfunction in the installation and the Internet.
