Basically, is a positive development that the headset fit directly without an adapter into the 2.5 mm jack. Furthermore, any earphone can be connected to the HD-44.
PROCESSING
Good quality, also on the material - clad with aluminum front, key in metal design, only the volume keys are made of plastic. The headset fits perfectly with the E71 White Steel. The cables are long enough and not too long, the earplug cable has a clip to attach the adapter (2.5 mm to 3.5 mm).
SERVICE
I honestly my problems with the operation. Firstly, the volume control is very sensitive one is fast to be in or silent area.
The biggest problem, however, is the symmetry of the keys: sound and volume down, and back and forward buttons are each designed equally - no survey or tactile discrimination. Because the controller is also designed both above and beneath the same, it rewinds on the bike sometimes blind in the wrong direction or turns the sound too quiet.
But all a matter of getting used to - clipst to the controller in the correct direction on the jacket or one feels with the thumb on the opposite side of the hold switch, then no more confusion to come.
SOUND
The sound is adequate for this price. The earplugs are always better than the standard. The bass is but the E71 gently builds unfortunately also in the mode "Bass Booster" no pressure on. That's just annoying in the field trance or techno.
One is located in outdoor ambient noise where you anyway hear almost only the higher notes, one misses in this headset bass altogether. Indoor contrast, the bass is quite good, though pressure arm.
CONCLUSION
Highly recommended if you love Nokia and Sony-Ericsson sound quality (strong bass, high pressure) is not missing.
