The documentation is scary: basically it says that the hub can only provide 900mA and writes such as a USB keyboard uses up to 500mA, a USB 3.0 external hard disk can use up to 900mA. I think they take a big margin to protect themselves. Besides that, the PSU USB hub provides 12V - 4000mA output, so I think that there is margin compared to what is written in the documentation.
Some small flaws, however:
- A big PSU (11.5cm long, 5cm wide)
- USB Hub stays on even when the computer is off - suddenly all peripherals (keyboard, mouse) remain on. An on / off button on the hub would have been convenient. It is of course the possibility of disconnecting the power cable, but it is not very convenient.
- Aggressive LED: blue on the Hub, green on the power supply.
Otherwise, I recommend it.
[Edit after 1 month] I take off a star because the fact that the power supply reaches right angles and the USB connector on the left perpendicular proves the use take up much space. Favouring a model of another brand (if any) where the power supply cord and USB connector are located at the rear of the hub, not the sides.
