Lily Allen's music on this album is interesting: all somehow so reggae-ska grooveig with a slightly British note (reminiscent in parts of Kate Nash) consistently cheerful, the melodies and uplifting. Alfie has an original rhythm, LDN was already in TV and radio a hit and is a great summer song, and also "Knock 'em Out" and Littlest Things have just a certain something.
In contrast are the texts where the ex-boyfriend is dissed, you considered how she quickly polished off at the disco appealing morons, or a ride through London between pimps and drug-addicted prostitutes is a love letter to the British capital.
Mainstream compatible, suitable for "chilling", and yet defiant and aggressive ... my CD-surprise of the year.
