After deciding in addition to the living room to create a home theater I began to search for an AVR. In the living room plays a Denon and I let myself be carried away by the consistently positive reviews to Pioneer to take a chance. The VSX-923 provides a 5.1 system from Dali censor speakers. Connected via HDMI are T-Home, Apple TV & PS3, via Ethernet music via AirPlay is streamed. The video signal is output via HDMI to a projector. The device is very easy by, and is very well explained on the external monitor. The calibration functions the same as its own. 5 stars for the establishment. The sound and the image can be just in this price range open at all to be desired, this I forgive also clear 5 Stars. Qualitatively the AVR is also high, the buttons and knobs feel very valuable, the terminals do not wobble, and are clearly arranged. In the LS terminals can be as usual to remove the end cap, so banana plugs can be used. 5 Stars! Now comes my gripe. The remote control, good quality processes this is, but look it up on the screen but please times the number of buttons on and compare them with the remote control the AVR series because. The remote control is just completely confused and needed an incredibly long acclimatization. 70% of the buttons on her, I have never used and will probably never do so. Here Pioneer has a little work to do, especially compared with Denon. The operation experience definitely has max. Deserves 1 star. This one star arises only through the excellent iPhone control. So overall 4 stars for excellent sound and picture setup extremely easy, perfect workman and unfortunately very poor service.
