The whole thing, I also tested with Prozessorlesitung at least 5% and max 100%, to display illumination max -4 stages and Bluetooth. You can tell just already that the system is slow ... but surfing the Inet and watching videos you notice no difference ... I came to a good 6 hours of battery life.
The specified 8 hours have probably only be reached if all but is in low then there is no use MMN. But 6 hours are MMN very considerable.
In the test I always pretty much trying to do the same ... Internet surfing, besides music, something Youtube (1080p), downloaded 1GB data, 30min TV series looked and games installed and also angetestet.
The CPU, RAM and hard drive work fast and well (please do not expect miracles ... Turbo is a netbook and not a high-speed notebook)
The netbook is also silent (fan when it is quiet easy warzunehmen, but so not directly heard basically) Were Ment winding is normal. I have to improve the performance or the system a bit to accelerate even some off eg for the visual effects. Since I have the mouse shadow, the window shade and the Aero interface turned off. You can clearly see a performance boost.
I can only recommend. Also I uninstalled some unnecessary programs.
For this purpose I have removed some programs from the Startup and so the startup is a bit faster. For this purpose I have set uses both CPU cores when the system boots instead of just 1. The known but only partially I think.
In general, one can use hibernation instead of simply shutting down. Here the last session is just off to the hard disk gespeichert.Das by just takes a little longer, but it increases the speed at the next start enormously since then just Windows continues and not all programs / services need to be reloaded.
Boot process until the system is: 90sec and until you can really work and everything is loaded, it takes around with me: (tested 2 times) 120 sec
Start time in hibernation: only 35 sec! That's great
Games I also tested: WarCraft 3 and Plants vs. Zombies. Function properly without stuttering ect. Unfortunately both games in 4: 3 and not widescreen. VLT can say as someone like me can change that to me. In WC3 you can, unfortunately, the resolution does not increase, but at PvZ you can do this in the menu set and not this would be a new game.
The display is good for the price range. Contrast is little, but that's pretty much the same for all netbooks. I have a glossy dispay as me here the color display like better than the dim, night part are just reflections, but really can be eingiermaßen fix with the display illumination (at the expense of battery life ...). The viewing angle is OK.
The speakers are fine, better than many other notebooks. Sound is impeccable and great for movies, Youtube, listening to music.
Also BluRays look great (tested with external BluRay drive)
From the terminals forth nothing there to say, is everything that you need and you can see in the description.
That with the charging cable I can confirm as already written in a previous review. You have to really push in firmly the plug!
Keyboard has a pleasant pressure point, and when you get used to the size to write exactly as nimble as like on a normal keyboard. So my experience halt.
The Mousepad I like that, very pleasant and well, but unfortunately the keys for the left and right are not good MMN. This must be very hard pressed and up scrolling for example does not work so easily with it. Is my view but VLT in intensive Nützung to get times pointed behind works :) This is a minor complaint but no points deduction.
What I found very negative feel, it is once again not a Windows CD of the operating system thereby let a driver CD, and you have to sign up for the guarantee at Asus on the Internet. For this, I subtract a star.

Battery performance is always between 4-5 hours (depending on the application of) with my settings.
Only thing I have changed is at the visual effects nor the preview thumbnail and off at startup I have reinstated that only 1 core is used.
The latter I have reset to default since I with 2 cores comically different start times had pronounced no consistent performance. Part he was a bit quicker but generally slower than at the start when the system starts. I've heard that it does not work with AMD but only at Intel. Therefore switched back to one core, and thus the performance is optimal. No stuttering nothing
As mentioned above, one should not expect the computer UltraSpeed Windows Experience Index says everything and absolutely great for movies, music, photos and office.
