Good introductory book

This book provides an excellent introduction to the study of this sublime civilization that allowed the West to know the Renaissance, without which modern Western civilization, would never have known the progress it has achieved.

Some hostile comments here are probably from Islamophobic, given the content that emerged about their borrowing many prejudices. When reading a book, we must refrain from criticizing type "ad hominem" (personal attacks) to focus to disprove the words of the author by logical arguments, rational and based in relation to the content, which some commentators are not this book.

Although the author adopts political or philosophical positions that we do not like, you have to ignore, and judge objectively its arguments, otherwise the rest is not worth much.

Keeping a critical spirit, this book brings us good elements that subsequently to go deeper into this mysterious and prestigious civilization.
