Good kid, Maad City

Good kid, Maad City is not a rap album, but a hip-hop musical. The West Side Story 2012. Compton's Most Finest. A modern opera. It describes the development of the protagonist of K.Dot to Kendrick Lamar in changing perspectives, without surrender to the typical gangster quirks without stuck in the Conscious-moral-rap clichés to remain without a magnifying glass to imitate Fiasco and a compromise-prone, volatile work to publish that not one and not the other, and thus nothing but new is something holistically. With this major debut it has Kendrick Lamar done to create a decelerated and yet exciting story and an amazing radio play at the same time. If I could, then I would do everything in my power to do him to hand over the Music Academy, because with so much more detailed poetry can save the visualization directly. That's the whole point: the album, because if you open challenge and the explanatory Skits, is a film, or even better: a Bildungsroman. A life's work, a perfectly curated exhibition.

That was not entirely clear in the first few days, when I heard the track quite wildly (no time, no time). Even as I thought it was good, but not outstanding.
