I call myself a proud owner of Sony A77. Of course I wanted to equip my jewel with matching accessories. This included a trip Zoom. I decided - contrary to some tests - for the Carl Zeiss lens. The handling stands out clearly from the standard lens. The lens is heavy in the hand and stabilize my camera. On my old Sony a35 it acts like a lead weight. The manual zoom, and the focusing run soft and light. The image quality is slightly better than that of the standard zoom. Only slightly because the minimum focal length is also here at 3.5. Nevertheless, the difference is clear. It would be a fantastic trip zoom if the cost would be prohibitive. I will not shake the feeling that it largely up paying for the name. Nevertheless: The lens itself is super. Good sharpness (in my opinion the best at F8.0 to 11.0), well-balanced weight (provided that you have an important camera), good and smooth running of the manual zoom and focus adjustment and Hervoragende processing. Suitable for all those who do not pay attention to cameras on your wallet and expect good to excellent image quality in standard travel zoom!
