Now times the positive: The machine is quite small, handy and lightweight. You put them on, a few stickers / protectors and away you go. The water tank can be easily removed if you have the manual found ;-) and know how to do it. One has namely open the tank lid, which also serves as a lock, then you can refer to the stable cover the tank easily. Similarly, it is also filled back into the machine. Disadvantage here: When inserting the filled tanks and open lid can sometimes spill something, because the cover must be closed to lock it. It goes well with the lid closed, but then you have to use force, and if that is so good for the locking hooks, I doubt it.
The lever is in the up position, the opening of the capsule is free. It places a capsule, where one has the feeling that she would simply fall through. When closing the lever then the capsule is centered and lands there where it should. The opening and closing is very easy by hand. Now you can brew the coffee, There are two keys for a small cup (espresso size) and a not so small cup (small coffee). The amount of water can be regulated, however.
I must confess, the coffee tastes really delicious, my wife was thrilled. This is not least due to the high pressure of 19 bar, with the hot water is forced through the capsule. On the coffee, a very nice crema that but also gives the whole not only a professional look a pleasant taste.
The container with the capsules can be quickly and easily emptied. And if you even want to assume greater coffee cup, can the drip tray folded away, very convenient.
Conclusion: A great machine that proffers an excellent coffee, but produces tons of garbage, which is no longer up to date nowadays. The price-performance ratio (currently 149), I find definitely too high. A price of a hundred would be appropriate, due to the size and the processed parts. For less money I get much more complex built coffeemakers.
Krups should remember here maybe to a simpler, more environmentally friendly packaging and less proprietary advertising inserts and specify a reasonable price, then it works well with five stars!
The same machine there, incidentally, also at the same price, and I guess the same packaging problem by DeLonghi.
