Today I installed and heavy card quite large (27 cm long), has really kept them fit in and have the two additional 6-pin. Power connector connected to the card. Then it went to the test.
Result.
14100 points in the 3-Multiple Activation Key 2006 (default) 10000 points was the Geforce 8800 GTS.
So to speak, the card is at least 40% faster, but I had actually expected a bit more. But as the old Intel Cor2duo processor 8400 is still in the system, the card with a faster processor could safely scale a little upward.
The volume of the fan is in a pleasant area, these fans one hears but it is not noisy at 2D representation. Under 3 D -Last the fan can theoretically be very loud at 100% speed. This can, however, use a tool on the manufacturing side, if necessary, minimize (fan control). But whether the 100% are at the big heatsink but ever achieved is questionable.
Unfortunately, also this card with 3 D applications, a high frequency Spulenfiepen what now seems almost normal with Nvidia cards. This can interfere with every now and then, but is not noisy in my case, and is superimposed on the game sound.
Conclusion .:
++ Fast card for acceptable price
++ Fans still pleasantly quiet
++ Map holds her fairly high speed level even at higher resolutions constant
- Card but is unlikely to find a place in any PC (27 cm long)
- Card requires two 6-pin auxiliary power connectors
- Spulenfiepen (but not noisy)
