I have not played the singleplayer and only read scathing reviews. But that is at Battlefield also not for me. So for Multiplayer:
After about ten hours of play time online I have to say that I really like the game quite well. It's fun, is predictable, both fast-paced game modes on small maps, as well as the conventional battles on huge maps are possible.
While there are only a few maps, I think about nine, but through the various game modes, they are recorded differently. I especially like in addition to the usual 'conquest mode' of Battlefield and the new modes 'robbery' and 'Blood Money'.
There are a limited number of weapons which then but the more different and allow different ways of playing. Even the in-game payment system, I find success. On the one hand you items such as weapons and essays by playing free, but must buy them through the earned money.
Now for the points reduce my rating to one star.
I think the atmosphere of the game simply for completely inappropriate. I have generally not playing against a game in the police against gangsters, terrorists and the like, see CS, but in Battlefield is not at all fit for me.
There are sometimes huge maps which are located in a city, it is anything but lifeless and just a theater of war, supply on which 32 criminals against 32 policemen implausible battle for money. Especially on these large maps, Battlefield want Just be Battlefield again, namely a war game an impressive battle in the fight large armies. Why not rather just the full program with military, tanks and all the trimmings. On the small maps the setting fits better, but feels strange given the scale of the fighting on. Of course there were in history also violent attacks with many victims, but criminals who struggle with the same equipment and the same opportunities as the police, I seem a little ridiculous. This has nothing to do with realism, because it is not already. This is about the atmosphere which is not consistent easy.
The graphics are more adequate to the Xbox One. It has taken the style of its predecessors, looks okay from, but for a next-gen version of the edges are simply atrocious and it generally acts spongy. There runs with me so far without the slightest stuttering. Also connectivity issues I had not.
Also the maps I want to lose a word. Of which I am of little disappointed. There are good cards, but most I find easy to open and leave little to tactics. The maps 'Everglades' and 'surf' for example, are very large, the battle takes place but, depending on the game mode, almost exclusively in the center of the map instead, in the then cavort all players and extremely difficult tactical game.
Generally, it is completely out of proportion to me, if one before the game release know that you actually do not even buy the full game price for 70 euros, because probably again at least the same number of maps will follow as DLCs. And again a total for the same price.
Most games today are just too expensive for what they offer. And I am also the conclusion:
If you look over the inappropriate atmosphere away and considered the good gameplay, the game I will probably be fun for a while. However, here everyone should think carefully about whether it for a full price game, which in my opinion none is spending the money. Perhaps one should prefer to wait for a price drop or hold out for a good deal. Overall, there would be after my bar 7 out of 10 points, for Battelefield Hardline so are happy 3.5 stars. Worth only because I the game and not the price review here.
Update of May 12, 2015:
Since I have now already served more than 50 hours of play online, it is obvious that my game is really like. But even if I look back again more objective, I stay with my awarded four stars for Battlefield Hardline.
Yes, I would have preferred another Military-Battlefield with a lot of destruction, more vehicles and more exciting Maps desired. But overall, I just find the gameplay of Hardline very strong. I think it's great that you finally get in a game as a better player, for example. In one-on-one, and usually the better end on his side, but can also win teams that focus more on common objectives gameplay , Because these are all things that are no longer offered me in a game of chance such as Call of Duty.
After this long for me playing time, Maps sometimes hang me added something out, and still I find that the game here with the small number of maps, the few existing vehicles and the virtually nonexistent destruction, also too few offers. However, I am most maps now a positive attitude towards. Contrary to my initial disappointment about this, I know them very well now and have to say that very much tactical and exciting gameplay is possible. All in all nen 'solid thing. Just hope we find ourselves at the next Battlefield on a real battlefield again; D
