The scanner is correct. It is fast, well-defined, easy to adjust. As against the installation is folk and stressful and application to correct images, comes with, is not very useful (I'm nice!). Personally, I scan in TIF format and editing events in Light-Room for series or Photoshop to detail. This scanner is a compact, but functional; the kit comes with canvas came in handy for storing all equipment, including pass-35mm film which I admit is fragile, handle with care. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase
