Wow, I was expecting a thriller "classic" by opening this novel and ... not at all. From the first chapter, quite chilling, it hates and fears the "hero", Jon, a serial killer with a mysterious narrator makes us the story of life .... Three things to note for me in this novel: - It is ultra dark: violence against animals (brace yourself) and human (brace yourself even harder) whose rape heinous and difficult to read. We watched powerless as a wave of violence from an abject and terrifying detachment. - A feather I found a great quality. It is far from thrillers to mechanical or invisible writing, where the action takes precedence over the rest: here the words are carefully chosen and I was quite baffled and charmed by writing Maxime Chattam. - Several atmospheres and scenes made me think of the King, beginning with the village and its Sheriff.
Go on, treat yourself and "" "good" "" meeting with Jon ...
