Pro:
+ Very good picture and sound quality.
+ Processing of the device is very good. I suspect that both the hardware and the software has been updated.
+ Remote control works very well (even from an unfavorable angle to the device).
+ Small, absolutely silent, very little power during operation and very little needs in standby.
Neutral:
+ - Default for image output is 'Auto' and for sound is 'PCM'. Sounds reasonable, but that are 'old' 4: 3 films, shown consumed and it is always in stereo sound output!
Taking this on the menu screen: '16: 'surrounded 9 pillarbox' and sound on 'RAW then the image is always displayed in the best possible and also obtained the multi-channel sound at as DTS or DD5.1 films.
+ - The 'aspect ratio' and 'Picture Format' button on the remote control to an unfavorable position. Give the sometimes unintentionally changed.
Functions / Operation specifically the Media Player functions:
Pro:
+ Plays virtually all DVDs on ... all popular video codecs (even listed a lot more than in the operating instructions / compatibility list), etc .... I'm excited! :-)
+ Whatever tone the video has ... DD5.1 AC3, DTS or AAC Very good quality and multichannel / 5.1 etc. is perfectly delivered to the sound system.
+ Can all Kontainer play .. AVI, MP4, MKV, MPG, etc .. no matter what kind of video / sound it is.
+ Subtitles in MKV are not a problem or switch between multiple audio tracks.
+ Has a better compatibility with USB flash drives and USB hard drives as the PS3.
+ On file systems is not only supported but also NTFS FAT32. Several partitions on a USB hard drive is not a problem.
+ The 'old' 4: 3 movies are displayed optimally without something is consumed or the image is cropped.
+ - Design of menus / menu structure is functional and very clear. You can operate super. Optically but a bit boring / feature a simple gray / blue.
+ There is an 'A -> B' repeat, when on reaching the position 'B' in the video display will automatically switch back to the beginning of the position 'A'. Simply press the green button.
+ Forward / rewind or jump to a specific point in the video or no video at the same place as last time continue finished ... that everything works better than most other media players in the region below 150, - Euro.
Neutral:
+ - So good also the Fast Forward / Rewind when Xoro works, unfortunately there is not the great 'Images search bar' (which I previously knew only from the PS3) while looking for a place in the video.
+ - The USB connector is Front. While this is convenient (much more practical than I thought), but visually Rear would be nicer.
Negatives:
- When a video is finished and the next starts, it will take about 2 to 3 seconds. This is something stupid, if for example a film is patched to 2 files, or if you select the random playback mode with music video clips.
- When opening a folder with many videos, it takes a few seconds for the folder contents are displayed.
Functions / Operation specifically the DVB-T functions:
Pro:
+ Very good reception quality (of course, a good DVB-T antenna provided. I bought the Xoro HAN 100 antenna and in the menu, the power supply for the antenna is activated).
+ Switching time between channels is very fast (if you have good reception, about 0.5 to 1 second).
+ The display time of the on-screen information on the program switch (program and current program), can be adjusted.
+ EPG and info about the current program will be called up very quickly.
Sort + Channel list, single transmitter to skip Mark (skip the use of the program + and button, but still view all the channel when you call the list with OK) and individual channels with password lock (* g * the shoping channel for women) is solved very well and is easy to use.
+ A button to jump back and forth between the current channel and the last viewed exists (good to jump in commercial break between 2 channels).
+ Recording function is easy to operate.
Neutral:
+ - During recording, a station can not switch to another station (it is clear, that's not a double-Receifer) course.
Negatives:
- Timeshift starts when you press the pause button and not immediately when you change the channel. In addition, the need to start the Timeshift function (when using a USB hard drive) around 10 seconds When the hard disk has yet to start. If the hard disk already under way or to use a USB flash drive anyway, then it is faster (but still needs about 3 seconds until the shift starts).
By the way ... while you look at the mission in time shift, a time bar will be displayed permanently in the picture below. With the 'Exit' button, this information disappears ;-)
