Even non-Twilight fans this soundtrack is warmly recommended, as long as they can be inspired for a balanced mix of well-made, young rock songs and melodic ballads, this by artists such as Muse, Linkin Park, Mute Math, Perry Farrell, or perhaps the discovery Soundtracks, the band Paramore.
The famous conductor and musician Carter Burwell, who already ".... see and die Bruges" the great film score for "Fargo" or "No Country for Old Men" made, wrote specifically "Bella's Lullaby" and thus created the recurring musical theme of the film.
Fortunately, we have decided to this lullaby with grab (a mixture of orchestral and piano) to the soundtrack and to leave it solely to the score-CD Twilight / Twilight Saga: dawn (the score).
And even Robert Pattinson headed here a deep melancholy song in and surprise you with a thoroughly great, soulful voice incl. Guitar accompaniment that can come at the right moment Edward Cullen to speak out and the mood of the film picks up great.
But the songs all function not only in the movie, but also outside of "Twilight", anticipating the great "Supermassive Black Hole" by the band Muse, the chosen one of Kristen "Bella" Stewart for the dance scene "Flightless Bird, American Mouth", " Spotlight "by Mute Math grammynominierten or even the theme song" Decode "by Paramore.
Unfortunately, the film relative to the final (end ballet scene) ongoing "Let me sign" of Robert Pattinson is not included here, but can get only as a bonus track on the iTunes store, because this rather short post is certainly one of the most emotional moments of the film and also the entire film music.
Also a pity that the booklet to the soundtrack is not particularly extensive, hardly pictures, lyrics and the poster is still very modest. But all this is not enough to draw even one star, hence for a mix of great rock / pop music: 5 stars!
All in all a really great soundtrack, rightly praised and loved.
