Otherwise, a very good Moniceiver. I deliberately chose the smallest of Pioneer because I wanted a small monitor. I drive a Mazda MX-5 NC, who already is indeed quite narrow. As a 7-inch monitor would be just too great. Therefore, 5.8 inches just right. In addition, you sit in the MX-5 close to the radio, so that you can reach the keys well. For that I have to live with the fact that the USB port is available only on the front. This can interfere when an iPod cable is connected (the original Apple cable works equally for Audio - video I did not try). By connecting a super small USB stick, it should no longer be noticed. The menu is okay - not perfect, but also not very complicated. One has to get used to it and then it fits already. But that's in virtually every car radio like this.
Positives:
- Good sound: A giant step forward for the series radio. Have the series speakers left in it and even so, the improvement in size.
- Powerful amplifiers: Gets out a really good volume - important in an open top.
- Well-functioning Touchscreen
Negatives:
- Keys you can indeed adjust the color of her, these are not dimmable. However, the keys are not too bright - not garish.
- With the top down and clear weather, the screen is difficult to read. But according to other reviews radios have the same problem. Otherwise, it is but great read.
- My iPhone (the very first) is not working. You can control it, but there is no sound. Perhaps it comes with the Pioneer cable, maybe it's my iPhone ... But iPhone 4, iPod Classic 80GB, iPod Touch 4G and iPod Nano 4G function optimally.
- No Theft protection: The front unfortunately is not removable.
Price: I bought my Pioneer at MarketPlace dealer extreme audio for 208 EUR. This is an unbeatable low price, the me of the few drawbacks (of which I was aware of) comfort absolute time.
