Even if the monitor displays no cable connected, you can in the menu by clicking on Menu and then on the last option on the far right, the HDMI settings makes. Had I the only previously known unnecessary Raffelei. So has nothing to do with the cable, simply connect HDMI and "unlock" the option, even if the only no cable indicates.
Saves I think some Kabelrumsteckerei.
The monitor is packed with a robust amount of polystyrene, all on-site space and packed securely.
In the package there are the stand, a power cable, the monitor itself and a VGA cable.
The building was very simple, the stand can be installed only in a position and has the mounting clips and a locking screw with a small bracket.
Walk off screw tightened and positioned. Super easy.
Once installed, I had already set me due to some reviews that the monitor is not recognized only once, so tried nevertheless times and yes, I had to first connect the VGA cable, a bit awkward but not a reason to whine.
It then goes into the options and have to adjust the input (which is preferred, I think) and "HDMI Auto Switch" on. Then the HDMI cable to it and voila everything works, a procedure of 2-3 minutes.
The buttons on the side of the device are well finished, shake and rattle and not have good pressure points.
The menu is easy to overlook, and so I have directly changed the color settings, where there are already many pre-settings, but I just made my own choice of colors, contrast and brightness settings.
The picture is great, fortunately I could not detect any dead pixels or the like, and I'm really pleased with the quality, now I realize how much better compared to HDMI VGA and DVI cables is.
The height of the body slightly out of hand, they do not is loose but also rock solid with a little pressure can easily adjust the height and tilt of the monitor is firmly and does not wobble around, even though I let it fly rattle on the keyboard, so that Monitor the moves I have to shake the table pretty doll.
The sound of the speakers is not so great but you can live with it, I have only times angetestet short because I have separate boxes that you probably can hardly compare with the built-in speakers on the monitor.
No bass, relatively flat but you can get used to it, I would say for everyday use, it is sufficient, for making movies do not look likely.
But so are probably most monitors in the price range in the area.
Gaming quality has the screen also, the response times are fast, I was able to read / write text or surf websites neither the nor streaking playing or detect similar. Absolutely outstanding.
So as a final conclusion, and why I have awarded 5 star:
The monitor does what it is meant to indicate a brilliant picture and have a simple and robust height and tilt adjustment.
I had no dead pixels or other problems, and the workmanship is top.
Compared to my old monitor, also 24 inches of Magic / Iiyama (almost 6 years old), I have even after a long time no eye pain or fatigue in the eyes, I do not know how these "Senseye" technology plays along but this is definitely again positive to mention the case.
The bad speaker, I can get over himself and had anyway never use this before.
The second criticism I can think of is only the cable, I do not understand why BenQ as attributing a VGA cable, because I think that the price differences between a VGA and an HDMI cable will not be too serious.
But since that is in the description and there is no problem to order at Amazon for a 2-3 HDMI cables as a plus to product, it is also rather nitpicking, especially because the cable has no relation to the quality of the screen ,
Want to have a responsive, flexible, height-adjustable and tiltable monitor recommended for people in any case.
For all areas recommended and for the performance of the price / performance technically better-off devices. Top.
