Thanks to the SSD hard drive the notebook boots up within 7 seconds and the other performance is extremely good.
I wavered before buying between this laptop and a Sony Vaio Fit15. Both have a similar configuration (The Vaio has no SSD, for a Bluray drive) and I had time to try out in detail both. Finally, I decided for the Lenovo Idea Pad. The SSD easily bring a huge difference in performance, and compared the notebook actually beats all other devices in this price range and screen size when it comes to weight loss and all-round capability.
Both games and renderings of graphics applications are not a problem, the screen is 15.5 "good size and brightness is also good.
I personally would have liked (I rarely use) desired prefer a higher resolution and an anti-glare display instead of a touchscreen. As the trend (Windows 8.1), however, clearly goes towards touch-screen controls, this is by no means a criticism.
The only shortcoming is the spacebar that actually, as described in other reviews, does not react optimally and often the attack simply does not recognize. With a bit of acclimatization is however to get over.
All in all, a well-balanced device that is neither too heavy nor too bulky for the road, and therefore perfectly suitable as mobile workstations.
