I want / like to describe to you here my experience with the Foxnovo charger F02.
This is delivered in a cardboard package with a compact and therefore highly suitable for multiple plugs Euro plug and even an additional power cable for the car cigarette lighter.
Foxnovo has also enclosed a flyer, which points to guarantee the lifelong (!). This is in my eyes in the face of planned obsolescence in many areas of (entertainment) electronics a clear and remarkable commitment to customer orientation.
In contrast to this laudable accessories missing oddly unfortunately a guide. The device, although largely self-explanatory, has surprised me this yet.
The charger weighs only 114 grams without plug and is 13cm long, 7cm wide and 3.5cm high well. On the right side is still a 1A USB charge port installed at, for example, smartphones or tablets to load.
The two main shafts take a whole range of battery sizes on: Li-ion 26650, 22650, 18650, 18500, 18490, 17670, 17650, 17500, 16340, 14500, 10440, Ni-MH and Ni-CD A, AA, AAA, C, SC
I've been using the device for two 18650 Li battery charging with 3.7 V and 3100 mAh. This also works very well. The charge indicator is carried out bay, via 3 LEDs. A permanently lit LED is roughly one-third of charge, two LEDs for 2/3 and three LEDs for fully charged batteries. This info is rather rudimentary by today's standards, many chargers show eg also the type of battery and / or the reaching capacity in mAh at.
When loading there was a slight buzzing sound that is practically only audible to the ear on the device. The heat development was during the entire charging cycle (just over 6 hours) pleasingly low. With Brennenstuhl meter way, I have a standby consumption measured without inserting a battery of only 0.4 watts which is a super value.
Exasperated, I have about the lack of documentation of the USB charging port function. I thought as a matter of course, that you can use with the charger to the USB port even if you have only the device without the battery power on and the bottom of the USB port, a Smartphone / Tablet etc. appends to load. This does not work! Only if you have inserted at least one charged battery and the device does not (!) Is connected to the power grid works the port. I find this solution but mildly very strange and it should be much more clearly noted in the product description. For Example: "The USB port can be used to have an emergency reserve / Power Bank when no power outlet is nearby with one or two batteries. Please note that the USB port does not work when the charger is plugged in."
In the overall view I like the charger of F02 Foxnovo almost invariably good. Only the lack of information display and the poor documentation have me think it can deduct a star. But since with this device but also the true value for money, I give even the full 5 stars.
